Announcing : Our 2014 Workshops!!

Every year around this time, Justin & I sit down on our couch together (or in a great coffee shop or over some awesome lunch together) and we start planning out what we want the next year to look like. We talk about it both in the general sense of the twelve months as a whole. And then we really focus in & get specific on the first three to four months in particular, planning out our travel, our teaching & our shoots for starting off the year with a bang! And looking at next year’s calendar I am getting SO excited, and I can tell you it is definitely going to start with a BANG!

What that forward planning also allows us to do (besides locking in some really good airfare! helloo Delta skymiles!) is to be able to announce our first round of workshops today during Thanksgiving week. And then release them/ put them on an awesome sale on Black Friday for anyone who knows they want to join us at a workshop next year!! It’s kind of like our own version of standing in line to get $20 tv’s….except you don’t have to stand in line, or even get out of bed!!

All of these workshops will go LIVE & on sale at Midnight EST, on Friday the 29th (i.e. the night of Thanksgiving!) and because each workshop has a very limited number of seats, we do expect them to go really fast- especially our next Walk Through a Wedding! And we’ve also created extra incentives for the first few people to sign up at each workshop, so you are going to want to have your laptop charged & ready when the clock strikes midnight!!

Here is what we have in store:

Announcing our first Walk Through a Wedding of 2014….(Griswold family christmas worthy drumroll please)…. “We {Heart} Spade”!!!

We are imagining a gold & glittery, bold, festive soiree, with all the things that sparkle and bright pops of jewel tones in the red, pink & purple variety. Our groom will be decked out in classic black bow tie and our bride will sure to be found in a dress that glitters. There will be a champagne bar, decadent linens & table settings, sparkly shoes, and a gold cake. Yes….a GOLD cake! Because Kate wouldn’t have it any other way! Friends, it is going to be GOOD!

**Walk Through a Wedding is strictly limited to 12 attendees and is normally $1500 for the two-day event covering all things shooting, lighting, posing, post-processing, workflow & branding. For the Black Friday deal we are running a special price of $1350…..AND the first 5 people to sign up are going to lock in their seat for just $1200!! The dates for the We {Heart} Spade Walk Through are Feb 11-12, 2014 and the closest two airports to look into are New Haven Tweed (HVN) or Hartford Bradley (BDL)!

After our first What’s Next One-Day Getaway filled up so fast, we have had a TON of requests to announce another one! So we have decided to kick off the year right on January 11th by hosting another 20 women in our home for hot cocoa, a fireside setting, comfy clothes, cozy blankets all mixed with BIG dreaming and no excuses!!! This time around we are INCREDIBLY excited to have Miss Tiffany Farley, founder of the Connected Brand, along to talk about creating a brand people connect to and walking you through creating your own connected client experience from initial inquiry to final images delivered! If you are ready to punch fear in the face & start your 2014 off with a huge SHOVE toward chasing those really big dreams you didn’t get around to this year, then this is for you!

The regular price for the One-Day Getaway is $350, but our Black Friday sale price launching at midnight will be just $250. Also, the first 5 people to sign up will get to come early and have a quick mini-headshot session with us!

The J&M Lighting Intensive has been one of the highlights of all the teaching we have ever had the honor of doing! It is just one of those topics that really changes things for people…people come in either absolutely terrified or completely frustrated with flash & they leave feeling like they can rock out the shot NO MATTER the situation! I can’t tell you the number of emails that we’ve gotten after from someone who has gone into basically a pretty impossible lighting situation at one of their weddings after attending the workshop, and came out not just being able to get something… anything but instead rockin the shot like a BOSS! It really makes my heart SO happy to know that these photographers are able to better take care of their clients and tell their story, no matter what curveballs the day might throw at them! If you are tired of feeling terrified or just frustrated with your flash, this workshop is definitely for YOU!

**We are announcing three J&M Lighting Intensives for the first part of the year: Richmond VA, New Jersey & Denver CO!! The regular price on the Lighting Intensive is $550, but the Black Friday special is $400….AND the first 5 people who sign up will also receive a copy of The Guide (valued at $150) for free!! The dates are:

New Jersey (location will be in Northern NJ) on January 28th, 2014
Richmond, VA on January 30th, 2014
Denver, CO on April 5th, 2014

And finally that brings us to The Art of Authentic Posing!! We are going to be announcing more of these later in the year once the weather gets warmer & we can be outside. But for now, we have one to tell you about which will be paired up with our Denver, CO Lighting Intensive. We’ll be staying a second day to host the Posing workshop on April 6th. The price for this workshop is normally $450, but the Black Friday sale price is just $300…AND the first 5 people to sign up will also receive a copy of The Guide (valued at $150)!!

Whew!! So there they all are! Seats go on sale at midnight TOMORROW night!!

We can’t wait to see you there!
