In preparation for hosting Jared’s workshop at our new place tomorrow, we knew we wanted to spruce up the meeting room a bit. And we also knew the easiest way to do that was to tackle the couch.
See up until two days ago, we had just had our original sofa from our apartment in the meeting room. Which is all well and good and perfectly functional and all, except that the sofa is forrest green and our walls our Restoration Hardware blue. Yea, I’m not sure we could’ve picked two colors that like each other any less. The sofa would call the walls names….y’know like Martha Stewart Blue. The walls would throw things when the couch wasn’t looking. It was a bad situation.
We had been scoping out the new replacement couch for a while and knew exactly what we wanted. In fact, I’d already bought the decorative accent pillows to go with it. Because well…I’m a decorative accent pillows kind of girl. And this workshop was just the push we needed to pull the trigger and buy the new couch.
Soo….here you go. The Before. The forrest green, name-calling, wet-willy giving old couch.
And the After. Our plush, cozy, soothing, well-behaved new chocolate brown couch. Complete with ruffly decorative accent pillows. All of which are from Pier1.
Ahhhh just look at that decorative goodness.
But don’t you worry about our old couch! We have a spot just for it in our second floor living room. And we’re pretty sure it’s going to get along just fine with the new wall color we picked up there. It’s called Vanilla Ice Cream….and I mean, who doesn’t love that?!
Throw pillowy yours,
