Email DRAMA!!

Ok….so be careful what you ask for!! I’d originally posted this because NONE of our emails were coming through. Well it turns out to fix it, our server had to change some code with our spam filter that meant that it would have to re-download ALL of our emails…..ummm from the entire past year!! Just go ahead and shoot me now.

Since every time I hit “get mail” we get another 4, 912 emails in our inbox (no I’m not kidding…our poor iPhones are about to explode), our only choice has been to delete all of them along with any new ones that might have been in there. So far we are at around 60,000 emails downloaded and I have no idea how much longer this will go on. No WONDER I’ve been so burnt out on emails this past year!

Anyway, long story short….if you sent us anything in the past few days it got lost in the mire. But don’t send it again just yet, because this is still going on.

Good times!! :)

you should really look into using "google apps" for your email. problems and frustration just disapear once you get it set-up. i am never going back. it was as dramatic a difference as switching to a mac several years ago.

@David: that’s actually what we use that got us into this mess!! :)

Hey guys, did this happen because you just started using Google Apps or have you been using it awhile? Just trying to figure out how to avoid this ever happening to me!

@Lydia: we’ve been using Google Apps for the past year and it’s been great. But just recently we started not getting certain emails or they were delayed for a really long time. And then we stopped getting anything for a couple of days. To reset it and get it going again they had to change a code that meant we had to re-download everything. It’s been awesome! :)
