Flowers on the Table

Hiya! It’s Julia checking in again!

By the end of this post, you will all know who the winner of our Swanky Stitch giveaway is! YAY! But right now, I want you to stop and take a breather with me, because I don’t know what it’s been like for you, but my life has been flying by at warp speed lately! And my mind? My mind has been whirling around like a tornado for the past few weeks.

When I jumped out of bed today, I looked at my to do list (that is organized by time for the sake of my sanity) and wanted to crawl back under the covers. Laundry into the washer at 6:30. Laundry into the dryer at 7:15. Out the door for an oil change by 8:00. Text Mike to make sure he turns off the dryer before he leaves for work at 8:15. Don’t forget to wish J&M a happy anniversary! Wrap our niece’s birthday present (that is over a month late) and drop it off for her by 9:30. Load and start the dishwasher by 9:45. Sit down to work at 10:00. … Wowza! My heart is racing just thinking about it. Somewhere in all that insanity I decided to take a break. I put my to do list aside and walked out the back door into our yard. I walked around enjoying the crunch of fall leaves under my feet. I threw a stick for Andy even though I knew he wouldn’t bring it back. And finally, I grabbed a pair of gardening shears and cut a bouquet of the last few flowers of the season. Because, no matter how hectic my to do list gets, life just always seems a bit calmer when there are fresh cut flowers on the table. And pretty antique bottles don’t hurt either! :)

And without further ado… the winner of the Swanky Stitch giveaway is….. drum roll please….. Heather Colt! Just shoot us over you address and we’ll get you all hooked up with your prize!
