Old Fashioned Lemonade: DIY Materials

I (Julia) ran frantically around Michael’s with a list in one hand, a pen in the other, and determination in my heart. I HAD to find everything we needed in one hour or less! I tried desperately to push away the panic trying to sneak into my chest as I navigated the unfamiliar rows. I know this feeling well. I used to have this dream, during my engagement, that the day of our wedding arrived and we had forgotten to plan anything. All of our guests showed up and there was no food, no dress, no band- Nothing. Just Mike and I- standing there in our street clothes- looking lost. How had we forgotten to plan our own wedding?!? Well, that’s sorta how I felt running around Michael’s today. Because Justin, Mary and I have one week. One week to throw a gorgeous Old Fashioned Lemonade themed wedding. As I stare at the empty jars that will be filled with lemonade, the tissue paper that will turn into pom poms, and the dowels and ribbon that will help to make our flags- I feel engaged all over again. Praying that everything will come together in time. Praying that everything will look beautiful. Crossing my fingers and praying, that the day goes just as perfectly in real life as it does in my head. So here they are, the materials that we will be using over the course of the next week in our DIY projects. Wish us luck!!
