Old Fashioned Lemonade Recap

Good afternoon!!

Julia here, and I thought I would ease you into the work week with a little Old Fashioned Lemonade goodness!! We gave you a teensy taste a little while ago but we couldn’t show you all of it! Well, since Style Me Pretty featured the workshop on Friday, we can go on ahead and reveal all of the juicy details to you ourselves!!

What you guys don’t know, is that when we first started planning the workshop we had a completely different theme in mind altogether! But the morning we were going to post the design board, we started our day with a quick peek at Style Me Pretty as we usually do! Lo and behold, the gorgeous wedding being featured that morning was spot on for what we had put together. Not wanting to reinvent the wheel, we decided to head back to the drawing board and pow wow a quick redesign. I think it turned out better than we ever could have hoped! The design board ended up looking like this.

When we designed the workshop we wanted to feature a ton of DIY details that our brides could use as inspiration for planning their own weddings. So we made sure to do most of the work ourselves (we even did the flowers!) but truthfully, the workshop could not have been what it was without the help of an all star lineup to help us complete our vision! A huge thank you to everyone who pitched in and made the workshop so beautiful!

Location: The Carousel House at Lighthouse Point, New Haven, CT
Bride’s Gown and Bride’s Maids’ Dresses and Jewelry: The White Dress by the Shore
Table Design: Traci Ramano
Menus, Bottle Tags, and Favor Bags: Stonington Paperie
Hairpieces and Bride’s Necklace: Larissa Lake
Make up: Professional Makeup by DiLieto
Desserts: Purdy Hill Bakery
Alicia Candelora and our bride Jil who jumped in and helped us finalize the details!!

And speaking of all stars, our attendees were totally awesome! They showed up ready to learn, excited to see what we had planned, and rocked the day!! Thank you all for being so amazing! We can’t wait to see you all again!

And now, for some lemonade-y goodness….

Candace and Joshua rocking it out as the bride and groom!

Look at those mini lemon meringue pies!! Let me tell you, they tasted as good as they look! YUM!

Oh, Max, you WILL be a star!

We did the flowers ourselves and casually placed them in mason jars around the carousel house. We added some little homemade signs to give it something extra!

A little Old Fashioned Lemonade and a paper flag garlend to set the mood!

Home made mint juleps!!

We made a little lemonade stand that doubled as a favor table and desert display! We also had tons of fun using it for portraits!!

We whipped up a lemon and lime bouquet to add a little bit of whimsy!

Stonington Paperie rocking the bottle tags and favor bags!! We all lol’d when we read those tags! How cute are they?!? And those awesome burlap favor bags? Filled to the brim with candied lemon peels

Traci Ramano put together a gorgeous table setting for us! Don’t you just want to sit down for a lemonade luncheon?!?

The girls had cute ‘lil flags to hold, so we made a manly one for Max too!

A little something extra for the place cards. And of course, our DIY pom poms lookin’ festive!

Ummm, gorgeous bridal party don’t you think? Thank you to Max, Katie, and Alicia who came out and worked it for us!

Do you want to see more? Then head on over to Style Me Pretty for an extra dose of lemonade sweetness to start your day!!

Can’t wait for our next workshop…. in NASHVILLE!!!! The Loveless Cafe better be ready to whip up an extra batch of biscuits, because we’re on our way!!!!

Happy Monday Y’all,
