Sneak Peek: Boxcars & Bugle Boys
Good morning!!
Yesterday was our San Francisco Walk Through a Wedding, “Boxcars & Bugle Boys.” And the moment I stepped through the hidden doors that looked like they were just whiskey shelves at our speak easy “Bourbon & Branch”, I knew this one was going to be one for the record books. From there we went down a trap door into the basement, where Julia and the Style Interns (Ajira, Nicole & Tammie) had transformed the Bourbon Room into a scene the Andrews Sisters themselves would’ve felt at home in. We had USO girls, a live candy bar in the form of our “Candy Girl,” and tons of real live nostalgia including love letters actually written during the war.
In short, it took me a good ten minutes to pick my jaw off the ground. See, I thought I had grand, grand visions for this one. But as soon as I saw the real thing, I realized I hadn’t been dreaming nearly big enough.
I love it when that happens. :)
