Hiya! It’s Julia checking in on this snowy Friday afternoon!
No, it’s not snowing today, but for the past couple weeks, New England has been wearing its winter white. And I love it! There is something so magical about waking up to a new day, peering out the window and seeing a brand new world. A world covered in a blanket of freshly fallen snow. I love watching the news and finding out if the local schools are lucky enough to have a snow day. I love stepping out the door into air so cold it stings my cheeks and taking my first tentative step into the great white drifts. I love hearing the kids across the street shouting in their front lawn as a snowball fight breaks out. I love going sledding with Mike after work. And…
I love building a good snowman!! This little guy features genuine rock buttons, a stunning carrot nose and a jaunty christmas tag hat. Unfortunately for him, he was built about two weeks ago. SO, this weekend, Mike and I are going to have to build another one! And I can’t wait!
So, those of you who live in the snow covered states… and those who might not. What are your plans for the weekend? Are you going to stay in and read by the fire? Go outside and play in all of that fluffy white goodness? Inquiring minds want to know!
