Stuff We Love: Sitting on our Front Porch

Good Morning!

We thought we’d kick off your Tuesday with a little Stuff We Love action. One of our absolute favorite things to do lately is to unwind at the end of some pretty long days by sitting on our front porch and watching the boats go by. For a while there, we were just sitting on our (not very comfortable) concrete steps. Not exactly the lap o’ luxury! :) Well, the experience has now gotten MUCH better with the addition of our new Martha Stewart glider.

Just add one sailcloth-esque bench cushion and a pitcher of sangria and you’re all set for a relaxing evening. Say it with me now, Ahhhhhh.

So tell me, what’s your favorite way to unwind at the end of a long day?

  1. Kristen McClurken

In our backyard in the hammock. It’s heaven. ( except for the one time a coyote ran by me ….very scary!!!)

  2. Nancy

I know I liked you and Justin for a reason. You are just simple and enjoy the smallest joys in life.

One day I hope to have a porch big enough to have a bench and the whole nine yards. ;)

  3. Nicole

Nothing beats a light snack (like yogurt or something) and popping in a movie while relaxing on the couch. Ahhh…

  4. ...&J2

LOVE! the new porch glider! At the end of a long day, Mike and I like to turn off the tv, turn off our phones, turn down the lights and and just listen to music.

  5. Ashley Scobey

We LOVE front-porch-sittin’ here in Atlanta :) Just add a glass of pinot noir and you are in good shape to reeeeelax!

  6. Spring

Glass of wine (preferably a good red zin or malbec), a good book and my puppy all curled up in my awesome bay window-window seat in my new home!!!! Ahhhhhhh

  7. Ashley Hawkes

    Ahh sounds so relaxing.
My fave thing to do at the end of the day is take a stroll through my garden at sunset with my little boys. I marvel at how something so small as a tiny seed can grow into something so amazing. I love to eat raspberries and sugar-snap peas right from the vine.

  8. Karen (Mikols) Bonar

By cuddling with my new favorite nephew, Theo. He’s only 19 hours old, but I see the start of great things! :)
