Thank You

Hi Everyone!

As Mary promised yesterday, I’ll be taking over the blog for the next few days. And today, today is supposed to be a personal post from me. And as I sit here, staring at my blinking cursor, writing and deleting, and then writing and deleting again, my mind is reeling and my thoughts are with J&M in West Virginia. What can I possibly say at a time like this?

Yesterday, Mary urged us to Say it Now. So I decided to take her advice on the blog today. Sometimes, it’s the people we see the most, that don’t know how much they mean to us. We attend birthday parties, we share laughs and secrets, and we talk endlessly about hopes and dreams. But do they ever really know, how thankful we are that they are in our lives?

So Mary, this post is for you. Because I never say thank you enough, could never say thank you enough for all that you do. You are one of the strongest, most enthusiastic people I know. And your strength, drives me to try to be stronger. To be braver. You have inspired me to dream dreams that are so big, I never would have allowed myself to even think them without your encouragement. And they are coming true, each and every day. And I thank you for that. Thank you for your willingness to be vulnerable, to share life’s lessons, and for doing it unabashedly. And finally, thank you, for doing all of this selflessly. For putting others in front of yourself. And for never asking anything in return.

And the most wonderful part of all of this, is I know, it’s not just me that you inspire this way. It’s everyone you come in contact with. It’s everyone who hears you speak at WPPI, it’s everyone who attends Spread the Love, it’s everyone who reads your blog every day.

So I just wanted to take today to say thank you, Mary. Thank you for being so, well, thank you for being you! Mike and I are thinking of you and your family right now. And just want you to know that we love you.
