If Justin had his way, we would have our own bowling shirts.
I picture mine being mint green with raspberry lettering. And I would wear a scarf around my neck and cat eye glasses on a chain, all Laverne & Shirley about the situation. We would join a league, and have friends named Flo and Big Eddie. We would buy matching shoes… and our bowling balls would definitely have thunderbolts on them.
If Justin had his way.
If ever there is a night when we have nothing to do, Justin always throws bowling into the mix. Y’know, not as the only possibility, but just something that should be given Serious. Consideration. And I, in turn, always distract him with visions of Mexican food and the next great Steve Carell movie that just hit theaters.
But since yesterday was his birthday after all, I figured every king pin must have his day. And if we were going to do it, we were going to do it up right. No weird foot-fungusy bowling shoes for my baby, I’m just sayin. So we rented out the High Rollers Lounge at Foxwoods and brought together a gathering of some of our favorite people. And together we laughed, ate, sipped on drinks and raised a glass to the birthday boy. It was a party even the Big Lebowski himself would be proud of.
What can I say….that’s just the way we roll. :) (am I bowling you over with all my awesome puns?)
And here’s a picture from the website so you can see what it looks like inside….tres swanky! :)
