Walk Through A Wedding w/ J&M: Buckles & Burberry

Happy Monday!

We are still reeling from a crazy intense, but crazy amazing weekend and our very first Walk Through of the year: Buckles & Burberry. Starting on Friday night with the meet & greet and running all the way up until last night around 10:30pm, we had a packed house of photographers from (quite literally) all across the country representing all the way from Washington D.C. to Washington state. We laughed together, got incredibly overwhelmed together, cried together, challenged one another, and then ultimately laughed together again. Justin & I were both battling fevers on and off throughout the weekend :), so just between that and how amazed we were at how the whole weekend came together by the end….it still pretty much all feels like a dream. But like we talked about at Walk Through, that’s why we take pictures. To help us remember.

To all of the photographers who put your lives on hold to make the trip, who hopped flights, who got babysitters, some of you who chose to come spend a weekend with us at the sacrifice of going to WPPI, we cannot thank you enough. For your heart, for your trust, for putting it out there. And for teaching us in return. I am so grateful to now call you all friends.

So much love,

And here are some absolutely incredible people who have to be thanked for making this weekend possible. It simply would not have happened without them.

Julia, of course. Her vision, talent, ability to move mountains all while sporting a bridesmaids dress, good humor, smile through it all and can do attitude are my rock. My foundation. We show up and teach. Everything else is a credit to her.
Alicia for being the kind of friend who will drop everything to come down & do hair for our workshop the day before her birthday. And for being the kind of person I know I can always count on.
Lindsey & Karie from Like Flutter For Lashes for bringing beauty & a smile wherever they go.
Alison at Plumed Serpent for helping us out countless times now & loaning us the most beautiful dresses. I cannot tell you how much we appreciate your friendship.
Bridget atChamard Vineyard for loaning us your incredible space & letting us stay late. It was an absolute perfect fit for Buckles & Burberry.
Catherine at Market Flowers for creating some of the prettiest bouquets & centerpieces I’ve ever seen. It is a joy to work with someone so incredibly talented. You made our jobs easy.
Michelle from Heirloom Exchange for driving hours to loan us your exquisite pieces. Our vision would have never happened without them & we cannot thank you enough! If *anyone* is looking for incredible vintage decor for your wedding, definitely contact her!
Michelle Cucinelli for being a super star bridesmaid and an extra pair of hands anytime something needed to get done. You rock it on both sides of the camera & I am so, so grateful for to call you a friend!
Sugar Bakery for bringing the sweetness like only they know how to!
Sarah True for connecting us to all the right people and lending us your incredible expertise. I can’t tell you how lucky we feel to have you in our corner.
Lucinda Wesson for hand making those fantastic “Justin & Mary” tags and just never ceasing to blow us away with what she can do. She is a paper genius, definitely hit her up for all your paper (and all things awesome) needs!
And finally last but never ever least , our wonderful real life and workshop couple Spring & Silas for coming all the way down from New Hampshire and bringing the heat :) on such a cold, cold day. I love you guys! Like, a lot. :)

It’s so fun to see these photos from our weekend! J&M, THANK YOU SO MUCH for an amazing workshop and weekend! I learned so much – and not just about photography. About people – that everyone has a story – everyone has value. This is a wonderful group of people and I feel like I have so many great new friends. Can’t wait to blog my own experience, but I haven’t been home long enough to do that. Hope you both feel better.
