Yale Engagement Shoot: Stephanie & Eric

Happy Monday & Happy Thanksgiving week!!

Gosh, I can’t believe Thanksgiving is almost here, but in so many ways I’m SO ready for it! I’ve been transitioning out of pumpkin flavored drinks and into peppermint flavored ones (the new praline latte at Starbucks is a good middle man for that!) I’ve been getting all of our Christmas decorations ready….Justin is pretty big on not decorating until the turkey has been eaten & put away, but there’s nothing that says I can’t have them all waiting on standby! :) It’s a covert operation you see & I have stacks of things hidden in closets and under tables just waiting for Thursday! And I have started tip-toeing my way into Christmas movies. None of the good ones, you see. Not your Elf or your Christmas Vacation or your It’s a Wonderful Life or your… y’know… Die Hard 2. No we have to save those until it’s truly the season. But the B list will work as a warm up. Things like Holiday in Handcuffs. Reese Witherspoon & Vince Vaughn in Four Christmases. Christmas with the Cranks.

And as this week starts, we’ve been thinking a lot about how very much we have to be thankful for. For those of you following on Instagram, you saw that we just had our last wedding on Friday & then our last shoot of the year yesterday! And boy did we get to go out with a bang! Just wait til you see this blue dress! It has truly been an incredible year. And now we are just so excited to wrap up our last few shoots, get those last few galleries out the door…and settle in for a long winter’s nap! :) (I’m secretly 100 years old & napping sounds like a rocking good time to me)

In the mean time, this week on the blog is going to be full of things we are thankful for! We have several shoots of gorgeous couples coming your way (kicking off with the beautiful Stephanie & Eric below!), we will be announcing our six deserving photographer winners who will be joining us for our LIVE taping in December, AND tomorrow will be unveiling the entire line up for our annual Black Friday sale with crazy fun deals, including two brand new workshop dates you won’t want to miss! So definitely stay tuned for that!

But for now, let’s kick off this week of thanks by me saying just how thankful I am for couples like Stephanie & Eric who come into our lives. These two are the BEST! They are so fun (and funny!), easy going, and just an absolute joy to be around. From the first second they walked in our door until we hugged them goodbye at the end of the night, we just felt like we were hanging out with old friends. We had the best time shooting all around the fall foliage at Yale with them & then we made our way over to Geronimos for some table side guacamole and house margaritas. Where the laughs & the conversation went on for hours. When Justin & I first started looking for our most ideal clients or like we like to call them, our “Clients Turned Friends” years ago….these guys could have been the poster couple for who we were looking for! Kind, funny, witty banter, pop culture references, classic style…and most of all, totally, TOTALLY in love! They are the total package!

Stephanie & Eric, we had the BEST time hanging out with you! And we can’t wait to see you again in the Spring!
