Happy Monday friends! Whew, after a week off from blogging while we were out at the United Conference in Arizona & teaching our LAST J&M Lighting Intensive of the year, I am SO excited to kick things back off in a BIG way today with the engagement shoot of the gorgeous Susan & Sol all around the Yale campus!!
As you might remember, these guys are good friends with another one of our amazing 2015 #jmcouples- Ari & Ron- and we got to see them over the summer up in Vermont for their big day. Well now the countdown is on for December for Susan & Sol’s day and what will be our last wedding of the year. What a way to go out with a bang!
When we met up with these guys for their initial booking meeting, we ended up spending hours just hanging out on our couch and drinking wine. So we KNEW we were in for a fun day when it was time for their engagement shoot. And ohhhh did it not disappoint!! We first met up with these guys at their gorgeous house that they are restoring (complete with a Prohibition era bar in the basement) for a few quick shots, and then it was off to the Yale campus to shoot in all the pretty archways! I just LOVE that we have something so beautiful in our own backyard! And since Susan & Sol will be getting married in one of the Yale chapels this winter, it seemed like the perfect fit! After all the photographing was done, we kept the fun going with an incredible dinner at Heirloom, complete with the apple cider doughnuts (YUM!) and the most delicious meal.
In short, these guys are our people! They love good food, good wine, good friends, restoring old houses, beautiful architecture, and holding on to each other even after the camera drops. We can’t WAIT for their big day! Here are just a few of our faves from the shoot in the mean time!
